Lebermuth and Teas Etc Win 1st Place at Tea Championship
The Lebermuth Company is proud of its partnership with Teas Etc who was recently awarded 1st Place in the 2010 North American Tea Championship (NATC) in the Flavored White Tea Category. Lebermuth’s Tim Nemeth and Teas Etc’s Beth Johnston have worked closely over the past several months creating a variety of cutting edge tea flavors. The 1st Place winner is an example of the culmination of their work.
The NATC, formerly World Tea Championship, is an independent competition judged by professional tea cuppers distinguishing the highest quality, best tasting teas commercially available in the North American marketplace.
NATC conducts and evaluates teas three times each calendar year and holds its invitation only award ceremony each June. The ceremony is held in conjunction with World Tea Expo, the tea industries premiere education and tradeshow event held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“We are excited by the results of this year’s NATC entries” said Beth Johnston, Founder and CEO of Teas Etc. “We made a decision to focus our entries on the newly developed flavored blends we have been working on. Based on the judges evaluations the hard work of both Lebermuth and Teas Etc has paid off” Johnston continues.
As the only female owned company to have won World Tea Championship, now NATC, the Teas Etc brand has become synonymous with quality. “Bringing the flavoring component of our business in-house was part of our strategic plan and an extension of our commitment to quality. Quality is not just about the tea, it includes flavors. The Lebermuth Company was the quality driven collaborator we were looking for. Tim has done a great job interpreting my requests. Working with him and the entire Lebermuth team has been a pleasure.”
“I was totally taken by surprise” recalls Nemeth when he learned about the win. “Beth called Rob (Brown) as soon as she found out they had won and expressed that she wanted to give me the news herself. She was very excited!”
The Lebermuth Company develops new flavors for a variety of applications. “When I formulate each flavor I think about the end use product and what our clients envision. I have a passion for using creative “twists” to enhance and customize flavors giving our clients an edge in the marketplace. The most exciting part about winning the competition is getting Lebermuth and Teas Etc recognition for a quality product. It is rewarding when customers have success with our products.” Nemeth states.
