Lavender oil, like all essential oils, is made up of different components. Two of the key components in lavender oil are linalool and linalyl acetate. The 40/42 designation refers to the percentage of these two components in Lebermuth's commercial grade essential oil, Lavender 40/42. This percentage assures a consistent, high quality smell and product for our customers.
The amount of fragrance (also called "fragrance load") for hot and cold processed soap is a personal choice. However, the general recommendation for all products using fragrance in a consumer product is 0.5% to 5%.

Essential oils are oils that are derived from botanicals or plants via steam distillation or cold press process.
All Natural Fragrances are fragrances that are comprised of essential oils and natural ingredients.
Fragrance oils are oils that can include essential oils, natural fragrances, and synthetic aroma chemicals.
Many of our fragrances are oil-based and will not dissolve in water.

Minimum order quantity is one (1) pound per oil. There are exceptions for premium or precious oils, sold in ounce quantities.
A $20 processing fee applies to all orders (online and phone) totaling less than $300.

There are rules for air and ground shipping based on the item's flashpoint, which often result in hazardous material fees for shipping.
Most orders placed online will ship within 72 business hours after receipt. Manufactured fragrances will ship in 8 business days (assuming all components are on hand and have passed quality control).
Shipment lead time for products that require distillation will vary. During our busy season (June through December), orders may take longer to process. Should this situation exist, your Lebermuth representative will inform you. Your sales representative or customer service can provide you with this information.
Orders that ship via UPS or FEDEX ground require your signature for delivery. If you would like to waive this requirement, please contact your sales representative. Orders weighing in excess of 110 pounds net weigh typically ship via a LTL carrier. If you don’t have a discount program with a specified carrier, your Lebermuth representative will suggest one so that you will receive our discount. Special surcharges may apply for LTL shipments such as but not limited to liftgate or residential delivery. Please let us know if you will require any special accommodations for LTL shipments.
