Mint Essential Oils

Lebermuth's legacy began with peppermint oil in 1908 when Morris Brown came across a roadside farmer in Bremen, Indiana seeking help selling his peppermint oil to surrounding town markets. Morris, a fellow merchant himself, agreed to sell his peppermint oil at Chicago markets. He quickly realized the variety of uses of peppermint oil in products such as candy, chewing gum and oral care. Shortly thereafter Lebermuth was born (formally M. Brown & Sons).

Not only have we continued to grow partnerships and invest in production of mint across the USA, we also identified a demand for organic essential oils and spearheaded the first USDA Organic Peppermint Oil farm nearly two decades ago.
